The striker, on the agenda of major European clubs such as Real Madrid, stated in a statement from Palmeiras that a “new cycle” is beginning in his sports career and thanked the “trust” that the club has always given him.

“I am going to continue with humility and my feet on the ground. Palmeiras was the only club that always believed in me. They welcomed me since I was ten years old, they always bet on me and now they are the living proof of that with my first professional contract”, Endrick pointed out.

The Verdiblanco club did not disclose figures, but the Brazilian press assures that Endrick’s new contract includes a termination clause of 60 million euros (61.1 million dollars).

Trained in the Palmeiras subsidiary, the promising striker has already trained on several occasions with the first team, but now he will be at the disposal of the Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira to debut with the current two-time Copa Libertadores champion.

Drafting

“I’m going to learn a lot, I already received a lot of advice when I came to train. I quite admire all the attackers on the squad, I see their determination and grit. That’s how you have to play with Palmeiras,” Endrick explained in an act where they were present directors of the club and their parents, Douglas and Cíntia Ramos.

Without so much media expectation since Neymar

About Endrick a media expectation has been created that has not been seen in Brazil since the irruption of Neymar.

He began his career in Palmeiras in 2017, in the Sub’11 category, in which he was proclaimed regional champion in his first year with the Palmeiras shirt.

That was the first of a series of titles that has continued to add up to this 2022, with the achievement of the Copa de Brasil Sub’17.

Titles in all lower categories of Palmeiras

Along with defender Gabriel Vareta and midfielder Luis Guilherme, Endrick is the first Palmeiras player to win titles in all categories of grassroots football.

At the beginning of this year he also won the ‘Copinha de Sao Paulo’, the most important youth tournament in Brazil, in which he scored six goals -one of them a spectacular bicycle kick- and was chosen as the best player in the competition.

Since 2021 he has played 53 official matches in the Under’15, Under’17 and Under’20 categories, scoring 36 goals.

Stand out with the Brazilian team

Endrick is also beginning to stand out at the base of the Brazilian team, with whom he made his debut last April and was one of the key players to win the Montaigu Tournament in France.

He was also chosen as the best player in that U17 international competition and finished as the top scorer, with five goals.
