Within the framework of Endeavor Uruguay’s first event of the year held at the Cottage Hotel, its executive director, Analía Migues and the president of the board of directors, Eduardo Mangarelli, detailed the plans of the business organization for 2022.
The main lines of work are based on continuing to support the companies that are part of the Endeavor Uruguay portfolio and in continuing to support high-impact entrepreneurs, while betting on selecting new companies and entrepreneurs.
The director stressed that there is a strong commitment to “Think big”, a program in coordination with IDB Lab that promotes the formation of companies with products and solutions for the public over 60. Thanks to it, more than 100 Uruguayan entrepreneurs will be supported this year in this first year.
Along the same lines, it will strengthen “Entrepreneurial passport”, a program that supports technology-based companies to go out into the world will also be renewed this year. “In its fourth consecutive edition, we will carry it forward with the support of ANII, LATU,” said Migues, adding that the recent incorporation of Oracle For Startups is added to them.
In addition, the business organization is on the verge of launching “Potencia Uruguay”, a program for which 22 have already been selected. The initiative promotes SMEs throughout the country with individual mentorships.
Likewise, Migues added that this year the “Let’s stay open” together with Coca Cola, a project “to impact almost 450 entrepreneurs in the gastronomic, self-service and warehouse sectors”.
Also, next week, Endeavor will select 10 national triple impact companies to be supported individually and with group workshops to make them scale. This program called ImpactaLab will be carried out together with BASF.
For his part, Mangarelli highlighted that in addition to the work with the Endeavor entrepreneurs —who go through a local and an international selection panel— and the work through the different programs, he intends to promote the entrepreneurial culture at different levels of maturity.
In Parallel, Mangarelli announced that this year The characteristic events of the firm will be carried out, such as the mega experience and the Endeavor gala.
“Endeavor achieves incredible things, our entrepreneurs reach formidable milestones, but that would not be possible if we did not have the conviction of our entrepreneurs, the great commitment of our board of directors, the enormous generosity of partners and mentors and, of course, the work and effort of the great team from Endeavor Uruguay,” said Migues.

“The network of mentors is one of Endeavor’s greatest assets,” said Mangarelli, thanking them for their time and dedication. In this context, Ollvier Schuhl was recognized as the mentor of the year 2021.
“This is not only because of the number of hours that he donated but also because of the diversity: hours to Endeavor entrepreneurs, to companies that are in process and also to different beneficiary companies of all the programs that we execute,” said Pages. For his part, Schuhl pointed out: “mentoring is what has given me the most satisfaction in my career”. Endeavor has more than 200 mentors, the first to achieve it in 2010 was Eduardo Mangarelli, later, other renowned entrepreneurs such as Francisco Ravecca, Mario Tucci and recently Andrea Roth also received the award.
