Those interested in running for one of 58 vacancies in the position of Research and Mapping Agent of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) have until 5 pm next Wednesday (10) to register in the Simplified Selection Process. Entries are free and should be done only in person at an IBGE post.
According to the edictthe vacancies are distributed in 28 municipalities:
- Holy Spirit: Colatina (3); St. Matthew (1);
- Minas Gerais: Cambuí (2), Divinópolis (2), Sponsorship (2), Paracatu (2);
- Mato Grosso: Sinop (2);
- Mato Grosso do Sul: Aquidauana (1), Ponta Porã (1), Nova Andradina (1);
- Paraná: Arapongas (2), Assis Chateaubriand (2), Jaguariaiva (1), Pitanga (1), Rio Negro (1), Saint Anthony of Platinum (1), Sao Jose dos Pinhais (2), Sao Mateus do Sul (1), Telêmaco Borba (1);
- Santa Catarina: Florianópolis (8), Itajaí (1), Lages (5), São Miguel do Oeste (5);
- São Paulo: Araçatuba (2), Itu (2), Rio Claro (2), São Carlos (2), São José do Rio Pardo (2).
Black and brown self -declared candidates and people with disabilities (PCD) may apply for vacancies, according to Brazilian law.
Registration
Registrations must be made only in person, at a registration post linked to the vacancy, according to the addresses pointed out in the notice, for more than one locality, among the listed.
Upon registration, only the form must be delivered, available in the notice, duly completed and signed.
Candidates with disabilities must deliver, together with the registration form, the medical report that attests to the reported condition.
Requirements
The prerequisite for the function of research and mapping agent is complete high school, minimum age of 18 years, on the date of hiring, and having Brazilian or Portuguese nationality.
Temporary contracts will be effective of 30 days and may be successively extended for an equal period until the contract reaches the duration of 1 year.
The renewals and terminations of contracts will be conditioned to the data collection schedule and the individual performance evaluation of the contractor. In addition to the need for IBGE’s work, the term of temporary contracts will depend on the availability of budget resources.
The monthly remuneration of the research and mapping agent will be R $ 2,676.24, with the food aid in the amount of R $ 1,000, plus transportation aid and preschool aid, when applicable.

- Resource interposition against the preliminary result of title analysis and the opinion of the multiprofessional team: September 23 and 24.
The disclosure of the final result of the selection process is scheduled for September 26.
