More than 40,000 students from 1,115 schools located in 100 Buenos Aires municipalities participated in the second edition of the program end of year tripswhich is financed by the Government of the province of Buenos Aires.
Of the 130,000 students who signed up for the second edition of the Program40 thousand have traveled to different tourist destinations in the province, through the end of year trips.
It should be remembered that the end of year trips they are intended for students who finish high school in any public or private school in Buenos Aires. This program, in turn, generates a positive economic impact both for the localities and for the tourism sector.
In this regard, the Buenos Aires Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation, Augusto Costa, highlighted “the enormous impact that this policy has on travel agencies, hotels, gastronomy, commerce, transportation and economic activity and employment in the municipalities that receive the contingents”.
And he added: “This program is pure joy. We see the happiness of the students who finish high school and can enjoy a unique experience in life, many of them, traveling for the first time with their classmates, sharing activities with graduates from other localities, getting to know the sea, the mountains and different tourist attractions in the province”.
Among the destinations most chosen by students are: La Costa district, Villa Gesell, Mar del Plata, Pinamar, Monte Hermoso, Tornquist, San Pedro, Tandil, Alvarado, Escobar, Cañuelas and Necochea.
From the Buenos Aires Government they detailed that the program “It aims to promote the tourism sector in different municipalities and, at the same time, to contribute to the social and affective reconnection of youths in the exit from the pandemic, guaranteeing them the right to travel in Buenos Aires territory.”
What benefits does the program provide?
Through this plan, the Buenos Aires Government pays for a trip of 4 days and 3 nights, with all expenses paid: transportation, hotel and food; In addition, groups can take two daily excursions and one night activity.
The trips that are made during the low season also include medical assistance and a tourist package of the same conditions for a parent, companion or guardian.
