Under the motto “The University in the promotion of integral human, animal and environmental health”, the IV Congress of Health Sciences is taking place, with speakers from Spain, Argentina and Paraguay.
This massive event is organized by the veterinary and pharmacy careers of the Autonomous University of Encarnación (UNAE).
During the official opening act, Dr. Nadia Czeraniuk, rector of UNAE highlighted the participation of researchers from all over the country, since this congress aims at analysis, reflection and action from the situated context, in that the population, students, professionals, researchers have a space based on science to work to address all the determinants that affect daily life and health care in a comprehensive and holistic manner.
“The university, as an agent closely linked to society and as a source of knowledge, in addition to diagnosing the situation, must transfer knowledge in the form of solutions and, in turn, through alliances with other institutions, develop action plans. educational, informative and participatory actions that allow empowerment and move towards sustainability through evidence-based policies”, he said.
CONFERENCE
The master lectures were given by visiting experts: Dr. Antonio Calvo Capilla, Dean of Veterinary Medicine at the Catholic University of Valencia (Spain), Dr. Carina Porporatto from the Villa María University, Córdoba (Argentina), Dr. María Mercedes Carpinelli, and Dr. Mario Fabián Martínez Mora, both from the UNA Health Research Center (Paraguay).
Within the framework of the IV Congress, the Expodidáctica was carried out, a sample of the most relevant didactic activities of the semester.
As part of the program and in thematic rooms, the presentation of communications postulated and approved by the scientific committee also took place. Participants from different public and private universities in Paraguay, research centers and companies in the health area.
SCIENTIFIC INTEREST
The IV Congress of Health Sciences of the UNAE has been declared of Scientific Interest by the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Scientific Society of Paraguay and the Government of Itapúa.
