This investment crystallizes an agreement between the community and the company, after the acquisition of concentrate transport units, the adaptation of satellite tracking and monitoring systems, compliance with a series of regulations and environmental control measures and special training for the staff that will be part of this task.
Hudbay officials indicate that this contract is given within the framework of the fulfillment of agreements held with the community in an effort to strengthen the capacities of local entrepreneurs. The mining company formally welcomed the company “Transportes Chilloroya” to its logistics chain. The community company will add 18 encapsulated trucks for the transport of copper concentrate.
The route that these units will follow is Approximately 449 kilometers, joining the regions of Cusco and Arequipa. This commercial agreement is based on the dialogue policy that the mining company has been implementing with the surrounding communities, assuming that the first allies in its value chain are its neighbors.
