The 10th edition of Innovation Week, promoted by the National School of Public Administration (Enap), starts this Tuesday (29) and runs until the 31st. The free event will be held at Enap’s headquarters, in Brasília, with activities face-to-face and online.
The week has been promoted annually by Enap since 2015, with the aim of fostering a culture of innovation among public agents, promoting social participation and presenting trends and possibilities for transforming organizations.
With the theme “New Ways of Caring”, more than 600 hours of free programming will be offered. THE Brazilian Communication Company (EBC), through the Brazil Agencyis the event’s media partner.
199 attractions were confirmed through a public call (138 in-person and 61 online), including workshops, debates, lectures, round tables, artistic experiences and first steps (introductory knowledge lectures). The expectation is that 20 thousand people will participate in the event.
Participations
The event will feature renowned speakers and leaders from different sectors and countries, as well as panel discussions with experts on the trends and challenges of innovation in the public sector. There are five thematic axes: Work and Health, Science and Technology, Environment and Climate, Diversity and Inclusion and Cities and Territories.
Chef and presenter Bela Gil will be part of the round table “Gender, poverty and food and nutritional security: looking through the lens of care”, on the Diversity and Inclusion theme. Also participating in the activity, on October 30th, are PhD in Sociology Betania Ávila and specialist in Public Policies and Government Management and national secretary of Food and Nutritional Security at the Ministry of Social Development, Lilian Rahal.
Another confirmed participation is that of the former mayor of New York, Ariel Palitz. In the lecture, which will be held on October 30th, at 2pm, she will address how nightlife management can be done in an inclusive manner, balancing the demands of security, economy and social coexistence.
THE EBC will participate in the roundtable event on innovation and public communication, on October 31st, at 10am, on the Nexus Petrobras Stage. The Digital Journalism manager, Juliana Cézar Nunes, will talk about new paths in digital journalism and the coordinator of Radioagência Nacional, Izabella Silveira, will address citizenship on the airwaves and the web. The advisor to the EBC Presidency, Eloiza Galdino, will talk about the importance of social participation in the construction of a new system in public communication.
Innovation Week 2024 is held by Enap in partnership with the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso), the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), the Federal Audit Court (TCU), the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger (MDS), the Ministry of Women and sponsorship by Itaipu Binacional.
