The Government of Buenos Aires enabled this Wednesday a website for consulting the scoring system, which credits 20 points to people when they process the driver’s license and lowers with each infractionwhile it will offer the possibility of recovering points by taking road safety courses and thus avoiding the withdrawal of the card.
Sources from Buenos Aires reported the measure, through a statement, and pointed out that “from now on, each driver will be able to check their score, as well as their infractions, on the website www.buenosaires.gob.ar/consulta-de-infractions”.
On the site too You can voluntarily pay traffic offenses and take road safety courses virtually, which will allow the possibility of being reassigned up to 50% of the lost points, depending on the type of fault to avoid disqualification.
In addition, a voluntary course may be taken once a year to recover a maximum of four points, provided that the points have not been left out.
Nevertheless, Those who have committed serious offenses will not be eligible for this benefit.such as dangerous driving or driving with alcohol intake, refusing or evading a control, violating railway barriers and driving without a license plate or with an adulterated license plate.
The scoring system contemplates that each person who obtains his driver’s license in the City of Buenos Aires receives 20 points, which he loses based on the infractions or contraventions that he may commit.
In addition, it provides that each partial discount of points will be without effect after three years as long as the driver, during that period, has not reached zero points and is free of debt.
As reported, The infractions that will enter into the measure put into force will be not complying with the indications of the authoritytwo points remain; circulate with expired license, not complying with the conditions of the license, driving without a seat belt and turning in a prohibited placewhich removes four points.
Also driving using cell phones or video players, driving in the opposite direction and interrupting the passage of school lines.
“This improvement in the permanent evaluation system is one more step in our commitment to road safety, because it will allow us to train more aware drivers, who will be able to consult their situation more clearly,” said Felipe Miguel Chief of Staff of the City.
