Employment: job fairs offered more than 27 thousand jobs

Throughout 2022 the carried out in Metropolitan Lima by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) made it possible to offer 27,488 jobs.

Such a number of job openings was offered by 471 employers, including companies and non-governmental organizations, in 14 job fairs and allowed to promote in coordination with the different local institutions.

Through such actions, it was possible to locate 1,133 people in a formal job position, during 2022, reported the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion through a statement.

The actions and efforts to offerwere framed in the role that the MTPE fulfills, regarding promoting employment, as well as compliance with the labor and fundamental rights of the population, through the strengthening of social dialogue, employability and protection of vulnerable groups, within the framework of an institutional management model centered on the citizen.

“The Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion of Metropolitan Lima has organized job fairs in the districts of Barranco, Comas, Independencia (2 editions), Metropolitan Lima, Los Olivos, Pachacámac, Pueblo Libre, Punta Hermosa, San Luis, San Miguel, San Juan de Miraflores, Surquillo and a Fair for professionals”, he specified.

The MTPE also highlighted that job fairs are held due to the need to create spaces that allow access to timely and official information to citizens in vulnerable conditions, since they allow speeding up the citizen/State link at the same time and place.
