As of November 2025, more than 1.5 million direct jobs associated with the exports. This result meant an increase of 11.1% when compared to the same period in 2024, reported the Association of Exporters (ADEX).
According to the union, jobs created thanks to traditional offices (652,392) and non-traditional offices (869,417) grew 15.8% and 7.9%, respectively.
By sectors, ADEX highlighted that agribusiness was the one that generated the most jobs with 635,003 jobs, followed by traditional mining with 403,313 and primary agriculture with 228,061. These three sectors concentrated 83.2% of all the jobs generated, as a result of the rising demand for superfoods, coffee and sugar, as well as shipments of minerals such as copper, gold, zinc, iron and molybdenum.
Due to its demand, the United States consolidated itself as the largest driver of direct jobs with 387,446 (25.5% of the total), followed by the European Union with 329,857, China with 260,120, Canada with 69,768 and India with 45.69.
Likewise, he pointed out that The coast – including Lima and Callao – represented 75% of the direct positions related to the export sector. Of the 11 regions, 7 of them presented positive figures: Tacna (43.3%), Piura (24.0%), Lambayeque (23.9%), Arequipa (10.3%), Callao (7.5%), Lima (2.1%) and Ica (0.4%).
