The journalist Ignacio Martínez, editor at the dailymade public on Twitter this Sunday that in an act in favor of the “No” in the referendum against the 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC), a song by the band No Te Va Gustar was used, made with which its singer Emiliano Branciari would not agree.
“In minutes the Colorado Party starts its campaign to defend the LUC, in Atlántida. Through the speakers, ‘Sky of a single color’ does not stop playing, @ntvgoficial. And again. And again. What will he say @EGBrancciari?” Martinez questioned.
To this, the musician responded with an emoji of a red face making an angry gesture.

Song for La Celeste
The band published the album Although it costs to see the sun in 2004, being the third studio album of the River Plate band.
The song “Cielo de un solo color”, composed by Mateo Moreno, is track number 6. According to the band, the song talks about the banking crisis of 2022 and about the harsh situation that Uruguayan citizens experienced at that time.
During that year and the following ones, there were increases in crime, poverty, unemployment and emigration, as well as increases in homicide and suicide rates.
The song was widely spread in Uruguay during the 2010 Soccer World Cup, in which the Uruguayan team placed fourth. In 2018, also in the midst of the World Cup campaign for Russia 2018, Branciari stated that the theme is “a love song for Uruguay that emerges from the harsh crisis of 2002, where many loved ones left the paisa and some children ate grass ” and asked not to forget the events that occurred during the Colorado government.
Ironically, it was the Colorados who used the song without permission this Sunday.
