Embassy of Israel in Panama donates medical supplies to the country to continue the fight against Covid-19

Panama received this Tuesday 3.6 tons of medical supplies, with a value of $35,000, to continue the fight against Covid-19.

The Israeli embassy in Panama reported that through its Agency for International Development Cooperation (Mashav) the donation was made to the Office of the First Lady.

It is highlighted that these inputs will contribute to reinforcing the biosecurity measures of the personnel who work on the front line against the new coronavirus.

Similarly, it is detailed that among the protective equipment that Panama receives there are gowns, masks, respirators, oximeters, face shields and needles.

“I thank the Israeli Agency for Development Cooperation Mashav and the Israeli embassy in Panama for this important donation of supplies to continue attending to the health emergency caused by Covid-19,” said the first lady of the Republic, Yazmín Colón. of Cortizo.

“Rest assured that they will reach the personnel who really need them in both urban and rural areas of the country,” he added.

For his part, Israel’s ambassador to Panama, Itai Bardov, said that Israel will continue to offer its solidarity with the Isthmian nation in this struggle that the entire world is facing.

Itzel de Hewitt, director of the Expanded Program on Immunization, stressed that Israel’s experience has been a very important reference for Panama to take effective measures in the specific control of the vaccination area.
