The Cuban embassy in Mexico paid tribute to the 32 Cuban officers who fell during the United States military attack against Venezuela, in which President Nicolás Maduro was kidnapped.
The group at the diplomatic headquarters paid tribute to the combatants “who heroically fell in Venezuela’s sister land, facing the cowardly imperialist aggression that reinforces threats to our America.”
At the event, the new ambassador, Eugenio Martínez Enríquez, stated that the greatest tribute will be “to honor his example of loyalty and redouble our work, dedication and sacrifice to live up to the level deserved by the internationalist heroes, the people of Cuba and their revolution.” The ceremony concluded with a minute of silence and the reaffirmation of support for the legacy of Commander Fidel Castro, President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the party and the revolution.
