Emacruz confirms that Vega Solví will continue with the urban cleaning of the city for the next eight months

Three days after the contract is fulfilled of Vega Solví for the collection of garbage in the capital of Santa Cruz and after the Municipal Council approved a law so that the Municipal Urban Cleaning Company (Emacruz) is responsible for guaranteeing this service, This Friday the expansion contract was signed with that company for the next eight months.

At a press conference, the general manager of Emacruz, Andrea Hoyos, announced that the decision was made for the greater goodsince the city cannot be left without this service.

“Giving a mandate to comply with the law, I determine to continue the transitory urban cleaning service with the current private operator (Vega Solví) maintaining all services, guaranteeing the frequency of the same and the prices of nine years agoHoyos said.

He also reported that for this transitory expansion an approximate amount of Bs 196 million is handled for the next eight months and the 14 services with which it began nine years ago are maintained.

In turn, he stated that There are two options on the future of the cleaning service urban in the city. The first is a International Competitive Bidding, in which work is already being done on the contract base document. And the second would be a proposal from Mayor Jhonny Fernández that Emacruz takes charge of the service. According to Hoyos, the latter is being analyzed internally.
