The spokesman for the Popular Action bench, Elvis Vergaraspoke about the meeting that said parliamentary group will have next Wednesday, August 31, in which it will be decided what sanction is imposed on the former president of Congress María del Carmen Alva.
The parliamentarian pointed out that the bench is currently “1 to 13″. In this sense, he explained that the only one who does not respect the agreements that are made together is Alva Prieto.
“The Popular Action bench is divided into 1 to 13. One that does not comply with the agreements and that does not respect the bench and 13 that we are trying to respect (…) Mrs. Alva, that on Wednesday at a bench meeting the issue will be discussed regarding the sanction that should be imposed according to the bench agreement”, he declared in dialogue with Canal N.
Next, Vergara explained that the internal sanctions in the Popular Action bench range from a wake-up call to a definitive expulsion.
“The sanctions range from the call for attention to the expulsion of the bench (…) It is for not having respected the agreements of the bench regarding its representation in the various ordinary commissions“, held.
As recalled, Maria del Carmen Alva was elected president of the Foreign Relations Committee, occupying a place that corresponded to the Alliance for Progress (APP), despite the fact that the LAMPA group had asked that she not hold that position because it had not been approved.
On the other hand, in the meeting that will hold People’s Action On August 31, the projects for the 2022-2023 legislative period will also be seen, the report on the restructuring of the banking staff, in addition to the reorganization of the ordinary commission tables.
