Opinion
The National Prosecutor Patricia Benavides announced that he would not attend the Council of State, because he leads the investigations against the president Pedro Castilloon this, the constitutionalist and professor of the University of Piura, Carlos Hakanssonindicated that it would not be appropriate because the head of the Public Ministry presented the constitutional complaint before Congress.
“The Prosecutor of the Nation and the president of Congress do well not to attend because the former is the holder of the presentation of the complaint presented to Congress against the head of state (…) Their presence together with the president of the Republic is reckless because the Council of State does not have a regulation on when, who, and how it should be summoned”, he stated.
