Elton John reveals he was left with limited vision after a serious eye infection

Elton John revealed that he suffered a severe eye infection that has left him with limited vision in one eye. Through an extensive post on Instagram, John explained that he has spent the summer recovering at home after facing this health problem, reported Cls News.

In his post, Elton John detailed: “Over the summer, I dealt with a severe eye infection which unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it is an extremely slow process and it will be some time before sight returns to the affected eye. I am very grateful to the excellent team of doctors and nurses and to my family, who have looked after me so well over the past few weeks. I spent the summer quietly recovering at home, and I feel positive about the progress I have made so far in my healing and recovery. With love and gratitude, Elton John.”

The singer, known for hits like “Your Song,” stopped touring in 2023 and had previously mentioned his desire to spend more time with your family. In an interview with CBS News in 2022, John expressed his intention to start a new chapter in his life after decades of touring, stating that while he had enjoyed every moment, he was ready for new experiences. Elton John currently lives with his husband David Furnish and their sons, 13-year-old Zachary and 11-year-old Elijah.
