Last Thursday, members of the Colombian Government delegation denied that there was alleged pressure from the guerrilla in the dialogue to remove Brigadier General Óscar Leonel Murillo Díaz.
The deterioration of the negotiation was confirmed when the ELN made as a condition for extending the ceasefire – which ended on August 3 – the publication of a presidential decree in which they were removed from the list of organized armed groups (GAO).
