Eligio Jáquez will be advisor to the Executive Branch for Agricultural Affairs

President Luis Abinader appointed Eligio Antonio Jáquez Cruz, who served as Consul General of the Dominican Republic in New York, as an honorary advisor to the Executive Branch for Agricultural Affairs.

During his time as consul, Jáquez played a crucial role in representing and supporting Dominican citizens abroad. Now, in his new role, he will bring his vast experience to bear in advising on agricultural issues, contributing to the development and sustainability of the sector in the country.

This designation will come into effect on August 16, 2024 and is contained in decree 420-24.
