Eleven alleged members of the gang calling itself Los Chacales de Nuevo Ditroit (CHND), -Sinaloa, which operates in the San Miguelito district, were captured through Operation Maya.
According to the director of the National Police, John Dornheim, this gang is one of the most violent in the country. He explained that of the 20 gang members detained in CHND member prisons, more than 12 are for homicide.
Operation Maya consisted of 29 simultaneous search procedures directed at this structure related to violent acts such as: Homicide, Extortion, Personal Injuries, Drugs, Robberies, Thefts and Possession of Firearms, among others.
The raids were carried out in various sectors of the district, including: La 9 Enero, Samaria sector 5, Los Andes, Cerro Batea, Bloquera and El Lago.
During this action, evidence such as technological equipment that will be provided by the Prosecutor’s Office as part of the investigations was seized.
