The National Association of Manufacturers of Electronic Products (Eletros) announced this Wednesday (4) investments of R$5 billion in the country over the next three years. Among the planned actions are the construction and expansion of factories and innovation in products and production processes.
The investment plans were announced at a meeting of Eletros representatives and with the vice-president and minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (Mdic), Geraldo Alckmin. The association highlighted that the electronics sector invested another R$5 billion in 2023 and 2024.

In the meeting with Alckmin, Eletros presented the sector’s balance sheet. From January to September this year, the production of electronics grew 29% compared to the same months in 2023. The entity predicts 25% growth in 2024 results, the best result in the last ten years.
In the first nine months of the year, 83.8 million units of electronic products were sold, compared to 65 million in the same period of 2023. According to Eletros, the main reasons for the growth are current industrial development policies, job growth and income and the climate issue, which boosted the sale of fans and air conditioning units.
According to Eletros, Brazil is the second largest air conditioning producer in the world. In the case of white goods, which includes stoves, refrigerators and washing machines, the companies associated with the entity serve 97% of the national market.
