All electronic notifications received by taxpayers will be considered valid from the day they are sent, announced the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat).
The measure will take effect on Wednesday, March 1.Therefore, it will be important for taxpayers to check their electronic mailboxes periodically in case the Tax Administration has sent them a notification.

“Among the documents that are notified electronically, payment orders, debt determination resolutions, applications for installments, refunds, as well as those referring to the claim resources presented by taxpayers, stand out. It should be noted that last year more than 56 million electronic notifications were sent,” the entity reported.
To use the electronic mailbox, taxpayers must enter the portal sunat.gob.pe or the Sunat application on their cell phone. Then, they must enter the Sunat Online Operations module with their Clave Sol.
In the option “My Procedures and Queries” you will find an icon with the name Electronic Mailbox, click on it and the system will automatically show you all the messages or communications you have.
