The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) approved this Tuesday (28) the tariff readjustment of this year’s electricity bills at Enel Distribuição São Paulo. The new values will come into effect as of July 4 for the 24 municipalities in the distributor’s concession area, which serves approximately 7.6 million consumer units in the state.
The average increase for the consumer will be 12.04%, with 18.03% for high voltage and 10.15% for low voltage. According to the company, low voltage consumers are mostly residential customers. Medium and high voltage customers are, in general, industries and large businesses.
According to Enel, the main factors that influenced the increase were inflation, in addition to sectoral charges, such as the Energy Development Account (CDE), and energy purchase costs during the 2021 water crisis. , the increase in tariffs would be 27.64%, if there was no “reduction effort” through measures by the federal government and the company.
tariff flags
Last week, Aneel approved readjustment of tariff flags, which affect the electricity bill in the event of water shortages or any factor that increases the cost of electricity production. The increases will range from 3.2% to 63.7%, depending on the type of banner.
However, at this time, the increases will not make electricity bills so expensive because, since April, the tariff flag has been green, when no additional charge occurs. The values will go into effect on July 1st and will be revised in mid-2023.
