Electoral Tribunal will resume the use of the APP to collect signatures for free application

After the suspension of the use of the application (APP) for the collection of signatures for free application on October 25, the Electoral Tribunal (TE) decided to resume the use of this mobile application as of November 22.

As for the audit that would be carried out on this process, TE magistrate Heriberto Arauz assured that three independent companies KPMG, Deloitte and RISCCO were called, but none managed to carry out the audit, since two of them did not show up for the call and the third stated that they did not have the resources for this work.
Given this, the Internal Audit Department (DAI) of the TE was instructed to review 100% of the videos of the 286 thousand 644 signatures obtained by all the pre-candidates, and to date 64% of these signatures have been reviewed, which have shown that 83% of the signatures reviewed are valid.

This report is scheduled to end on Tuesday, November 29.

While 16% of the signatures can be annulled for failing to comply with the provisions of Article 37 of Decree 29 of 2022. 1% are challengeable for maintaining the expired ID.
