The National Electoral Commission presented a balance of the development of the Second National Popular Consultation which takes place this Sunday throughout the country.
He stressed that there are more than 100 international observers deployed throughout the country to monitor the electoral process.
“At this time, 90% of the 4,505 circuits are activated. There have been some incidents due to the rain, in many states it is raining and it has become a bit difficult not so much to open, but to continue because we have been in all the electoral centers nationwide since 7 in the morning with our equipment,” stressed the member of the Commission, Carolina Arellano, in statements to the media.
According to the Commission30,784 projects have been registered for this consultation, including proposals on the subject of water and electricity.
They thanked the national, regional, municipal and communal promotional teams deployed for the electoral process, as well as those who participated.
“I would also like to thank the CNE, Plan República, the militias, and our president, Nicolás Maduro, for today we are in this second consultation demonstrating with facts, with the popular participation that the Venezuelan people are accustomed to, how elections are held throughout our territory,” Arellano added.
The members of the Commission also invited the communities to participate in this electoral process to select the project that would benefit them.
The Electoral Commission said that voting will continue until there are no more citizens in line to exercise their right to vote.
