The population eligible to vote is approximately 170,743 young people.
The Norte de Santander Registry Office assured that everything is ready for the Youth Council elections that are scheduled to be held next Sunday, October 1970 voting stations will be installed in Cúcuta, 66 will be located in the urban area, two in the model prison for both men and women and two in the rural area of the city.

Likewise, the official said that there are 17 seats in the case of Cúcuta because the population exceeds 100,000 inhabitants, Mayor Jorge Acevedo, as permitted by law, managed to form four special lists as follows.
An Afro-Colombian seat, a victims’ seat and an indigenous seat, a Rrom or Gypsy seat, which will allow the creation of a municipal council with the 17 elected of 21 young people who will work within the youth council of Cúcuta.
Young people between 14 and 17 years old must go to the voting station with a blue biometric identity card, while young people between 18 and 28 years old can do so with the citizenship card in any of its versions.
