Elections: 990,000 young people, the majority not wanting to vote, and 15,000 people over 107 years old

The deputy Kattya González, pre-candidate for the Presidency, positioned herself after having established a position on progressive and sensitive issues such as abortion and gay union.

“It was a mistake to answer bluntly and in so few lines those issues that require positioning and further debate,” Deputy Kattya González acknowledged on Tuesday about the questions to her answers in a tweet she shared.

“I am against. I am a mother of two boys. There are only two genders, let’s respect that. The “same marriage” it is not a viable legal tool to protect rights. Our Constitution does not allow it either.posted parliamentarian González, referring to abortion and homosexual relationships.

In an interview with the radio Universo 970 AM – Nación Media, the pre-candidate for the Presidency said that in a plural society everyone should have a place with their ideologies and that she will be in favor of the debate to build democracy. “That does not mean that I do not position myself, because there are fanatics and intolerant people on the left and on the right, with neither one of them it is possible to build, and I want to build,” she added.

She said that she is a feminist and that she supported the parity law, but that does not condition her to support all the postulates of that sector. “I have my worldview, I am not in favor of abortion and I can speak at length about it, but I also do not deny the situation of great pain that exists in the country, with two births to girl mothers, and the sending to jail of women who they abort I am not in favor of criminalizing abortion, but I position myself ideologically as a person who does not subscribe to that ideology. Neither fanatics of the left nor those of the right are going to build the necessary plurality. Positioning myself on these issues does not present me as an anti-rights ”, she argued.

Finally, to exhaust the controversy generated, she apologized. “I apologize to the public because we are public servants and we have to be tolerant of diversity,” she said.

OPPOSITION ADVANCES IN THE AGREEMENT

On the other hand, he maintained that the negotiations in the opposition are advancing with a view to the presidential elections of 2023. “Today we have a new meeting of the dialogue table of the agreement. From today Euclides Acevedo joins. I think I can capture the attention of a constituency. I ask the Liberal Party to make decisions beyond what one personally thinks”, he referred.

“Those who stated that they are willing to speak are Euclides, Hugo Fleitas, Martín Burt and this servant. The others are resisting”, he revealed about the opposition agreement.

About going to previous elections in the opposition, Kattya González responded that the small parties will be at a disadvantage compared to those with a larger electoral structure.
