He added that the JNE is preparing to carry out this unprecedented process, since, as is known, there are 39 political parties with current registration.
“Finally, guarantee that electoral justice is timely, transparent and independent and that there is no specter that our decisions can be doubted,” he told Andina.
SENATORS WILL BE ELECTED
In 2026, Peruvians will elect senators after more than three decades.
“We have a senate returning to the country, it is a great structural reform, we are talking about that now we are going to have senators and deputies; Regarding the electoral process, people are going to have a greater number of candidates,” he stated.
In addition, he asked citizens to inform themselves and find out who the suitable candidates are to represent them.
He pointed out that the country must be sure that the JNE is preparing so that this electoral process is orderly, clean, transparent and reflects the popular will.
“In the case of these elections it will not be different, so rest assured that we will be prepared and that in the end the population will be able to see that their will is what is expressed with the electoral results,” he pointed out.
