The definition of candidates
For the former governor of Coahuila, Rubén Moreira, the definition of the alliance’s candidacies will be given at the time they have to be given. Neither before nor after. “The alliance that began as electoral, then legislative, will continue to be electoral,” said the PRI member.
He added that “in the State of Mexico, in Coahuila and until the 24th, at least, we will continue in alliance, of course, each party can postulate or present an option, but as on other occasions, an agreement will be sought.”
To an express question, he commented that “there is nothing to fear, nothing to worry about, nothing to alert. This has happened in many entities, each party has a group that would like to be the one to apply, well, but, but they would have to agree.
In your opinion, should Congresswoman Ana Lilia Herrera or the Secretary of Social Development of Mexico, Alejandra del Moral, go (as a candidate for Edomex)?
– In my opinion there are many and many PRI members who have the possibility of being candidates, and it is up to the Mexican PRI members to make that decision… The PRI has its mechanisms that have been successful in the State of Mexico, we have always maintained that governorship. The Mexican PRI is robust, the Mexican PRI has a quarry to win, it has an excellent governor, it has a great tradition and the Mexican PRI is a successful PRI.
Even if it goes alone (the PRI in the Mexican contest) without the PAN?
– No one said that, excuse me. I think that is what Morena would like. We are going to go together (PRI, PAN and PRD), but the parties have their particular interests… there is no doubt, we are going to go together.
In the State of Mexico, in Coahuila and until the 24th at least, we will continue in alliance…”.
