The Deputy Minister of Taxation, Oscar Orué, confirmed that Luis Paciello’s accounts with state financial control agencies have not yet been closed.
The official pointed out that Paciello’s faults with the SET were addressed with fines that he had to pay accordingly. However, the dark part of the matter is in the field of another state body: the Seprelad.
“He made the corresponding tax justifications. He paid (the fines) what he had to pay, but he did not close our issue there, because we found evidence of money laundering and we referred the case to the Secretariat for the Prevention of Money Laundering ”Orué responded to journalists, when he was approached on the subject.

Orué remarked that the SET report, which contains aspects that point to alleged money laundering by Paciello, was already sent to the Seprelad last year, and that it is this body that must answer about the state in which it is located. that file.
According to the Comptroller General of the Republic and the SET, the inconsistencies in Paciello’s sworn statement point to assets such as the two apartments he owns in Asunción, a house in Lambaré and a country house in San Bernardino, whose costs far exceed to the income that he had and currently has. There is also a checking account in which Lugo’s son-in-law has a large sum of money.
