Observers of the Brazilian elections are following today (1st), in the capital of São Paulo, auditing activities of the electronic voting system and the preparation and conduct of voting this Sunday (2nd).Election observers participate in auditing activities in SP

A delegation composed of diplomats from Argentina and the United States, representatives of the Instituto para el Desarrollo Demmático y la Competitividad (Iddeco) and the University of São Paulo (USP), among other participants, is in São Paulo.

The group fulfills an agenda that ranges from participating in the procedures on the eve of the election to the dissemination of results.

This Saturday (1st), the program involves monitoring the choice of polls that will be the subject of the 2022 Integrity Test and Systems Authenticity Test, in the plenary of the Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo (TRE-SP).

At 12:30, the delegation will verify the officialization and issuance of the zeroth of the systems. At 3:15 pm, there will be a presentation on the Electronic Voting System and a demonstration of Electronic Ballot Boxes.

Tomorrow (2), the day begins at 7 am with the monitoring of the procedures for the beginning of voting at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, which is one of the electoral colleges. The zerésima and the authorization of the electronic voting machine will be issued to voters.

At 9 am, the group follows the work of the Electronic Ballot Box Integrity Test at Centro Cultural São Paulo.

Then, at 10 am, they will observe, at the Universidade Paulista (Unip), in the Paraíso neighborhood, a place for voting and also for the pilot project of the Integrity Test with biometrics.

They head to the Paulo Machado de Carvalho School, in the Bela Vista neighborhood, at 4:45 pm, where they check the closing of the vote. From 5:20 pm, they return to TRE-SP to wait for the results to be released.
