El Trompillo: Pilot student was injured by the propeller of a small plane

The Bolivian Air Navigation and Airports (Naabol) and the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) began an investigation to clarify the incident in which aA student pilot was injured by the propeller in operation of a light aircraft.

According to Naabol’s report, the incident occurred on Wednesday, July 17, at 5:17 p.m., in the Trompillo Airport from Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

“A student from a piloting school He suffered an injury to his right arm with the propeller of a Cessna 152 aircraft with registration CP-3006 in operation, when he was providing training,” the official statement said.

After the incident, the student fwas attended to in a timely manner by the Naabol Airport Medical Unit and was then transferred to a medical center in the capital of Santa Cruz.

The DGAC has already started a investigation to clarify this event. In addition, Naabol noted that a safe service will continue to be provided at the facilities of the Trompillo Airport.

“At the moment the DGAC is carrying out the corresponding investigations to determine possible causes of the incident. Naabol reiterates its commitment to continue providing a reliable and safe service to all who use our facilities,” the statement added.
