MIAMI, United States. – Cuban reggaeton singer José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, known by his stage name El Taiger, announced on his Instagram account who will sing in Havana next weekend.
According to the brief information released by the musician himself, there will only be two presentations, one on Friday the 5th and another on Saturday the 6th of May.
Following his announcement on Monday, the influencers and presenter Alexander Otaola answered to El Taiger on Instagram: “Great for you to stay there. In the dump where you should never have left. Possibly with your record and so on, they won’t let you back in [a Estados Unidos]”.
In January of this year, the Miami-based reggaeton singer I had already expressed his intentions to present himself to the Cuban public on the island.
In a video posted on social networks on that date, the singer assured that the people who live in Cuba had “nothing to do with politics.”
“I have intentions of going to Cuba to sing, I have and I am going to do it (…). The people have nothing to do with politics, especially those who live there. So, if I want to sing to the land that saw me born, the one that gave me life, I’m going to do it because the music is mine,” he said.
The artist made it clear that “the true opponents” were not seeing who was going to sing for Cuba and who was not, and that this hunt was a matter of those who were “above that on social networks.”
“You don’t pay me bills [facturas]you do not write the songs for me,” said El Taiger, who has already received numerous criticisms for a recent family visit to the Island, where his daughters and grandmother reside.
In this sense, the reggaeton player made it clear that as long as he has relatives in Cuba, he will continue to visit the island. “I have always brought more happiness than sadness. If you want to judge me for that, put the cross there, ”the singer responded to his detractors.
El Taiger also regretted that many Cubans who arrive in the United States now ask him not to go to the island to sing to those who have not solved their problems.
“And those who have not resolved that they are there, my brother? Those who couldn’t get 12,000 and 13,000 pesos to come? Don’t those deserve to see El Taiger? Why?” Questioned the artist.
