El Paraíso Tunnel towards El Cementerio – Catia will be closed for maintenance

Starting this October 31, maintenance work will be carried out in the El Paraíso Tunnel, heading El Cementerio – Catia, with a total closure from the access ramp of the Valle – Coche Highway towards the tunnels.

The information was released by the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation through its social networks, in which it announced that the activity will take place for two days, from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am, “so we invite you to take alternative routes in light of the recovery work by the Juntos Todo es Possible Corporation.

The institution also reported that comprehensive preventive maintenance work is being carried out on braking ramp No. 1, located on the Caracas – La Guaira highway, towards the coast. “These works are carried out to ensure that the infrastructure responds optimally in emergency situations, thus guaranteeing the safety of users who travel along this important road.”

Maintenance tasks include cutting branches, pruning trees and general cleaning of the structure, with the aim of ensuring that the ramp effectively fulfills its function of stopping vehicles with brake system failures, directly contributing to reducing the risk of accidents on the highway.
