Worker killed by two shots

Julio César Sánchez Zamora, alias El César, was killed during an armed confrontation that occurred on main road 10, San Vicente sector, Andrés Eloy Blanco municipality (Casanay), Sucre, according to military sources.

The procedure was carried out by agents attached to the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) during a special operation against the criminal organization founded by Darwins José Vizcaíno Guerra (El Cury).

At the time of the confrontation, El César was carrying a Colt M-4 Carbine rifle, caliber 5.56 mm, serial LE109231, which was recovered. In addition, at the scene of the event, officials collected a 9mm caliber Glock pistol, model 17, a rifle magazine containing ten 5.56×45mm caliber cartridges and nine 9mm cartridges.

César was required by arrest warrant No. RP01-P-2021-001228, dated September 23, 2021, issued by the 1st Control Court of Sucre, Cumana extension, for the crimes of brief aggravated kidnapping, association to commit crimes , aggravated robbery, illegitimate deprivation of liberty and minor injuries.

Members of the Cury gang participated in the attack against GNB sergeant Luis Planche, which occurred on August 26, 2021 in the El Campaerito sector, trunk 10 of Sucre state. The criminals beat the soldier in various parts of the body and recorded when they did so to later spread the video on their social networks.
