A well-known criminal who was wanted on an arrest warrant for multiple crimes, including homicide, was shot dead this Wednesday when he faced an Investigation Operations team (DICRIM) that was following him with the aim of arresting him, in an incident that occurred in the Villa Mella sector, Santo Domingo Norte municipality.

According to the preliminary report, the Investigations agents belonging to the Santo Domingo Oriental Regional Directorate moved to 28th Street in the Carlos Álvarez sector of Villa Mella, where the suspect was located who, upon noticing the police presence, started shooting at them.
