El Alto aims to generate Bs 100 million in sales and a business conference at the ‘HuaynaFex’

From this Wednesday and until Sunday, October 9, with the participation of artisans, small and medium-sized companies The HuaynaFex international fair will be held at the El Alto Metropolitan Terminal and the goal set is to generate 100 million Bolivians in sales and business meetings. Admission is free.

At least 400 local, national and international exhibitors will offer their products at the stands. “This fair is very important for the city of El Alto and its economic reactivation (…), with sales and business roundtables, we estimate more than 100 million Bolivians,” the municipal secretary of Economic Development, Bernaldo Huanca, reported on Wednesday.

He explained that the inauguration will be today at 5:00 p.m. and that the agenda of activities will be announced, such as a catwalk of cholitas, marathon visits of students and embassies that will make cultural presentations. He said that this Friday will be the business conference, from 10:00 to 20:00.

“It is already a consolidated fair”, highlighted Huanca. The Metropolitan Terminal is located on Ladislao Cabrera Avenue between the Pan-American Highwaya couple of blocks from the last station of the Morado Cable Car and less than 30 minutes from La Ceja.

He explained that per day they expect to count between 30,000 to 40,000 visitors in the third version of HuaynaFex; Mayor’s office coordinates the activity with the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism (Cainco) El Alto.
