Eight killed in Petare during armed confrontation

Eight members of criminal groups that live in Petare were killed during armed confrontations, according to police sources.

Among those killed are Ivan José Valdespino López, Víctor José Genis Villa and Andy Estyben Ruiz Velasco.

These people confronted Cicpc-El Llanito agents this Friday in wooded areas of the San Blas and Colina de Vista Hermosa neighborhoods, lower part, Petare parish, Sucre municipality, Miranda state.

The victims are part of the San Blas and Turumo criminal groups led by Luis Alfredo Martínez Acualo (El Conejo) who were being investigated by the 69th Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Prosecutor’s Office.

In the places where the confrontations took place, two revolvers (Colt 3.57mm and Smith Wesson) and six pistols were located.

The Cicpc maintains the deployment in Petare to find the location of the other members of the criminal groups.
