Eight injured after launching a grenade at a local in Táchira

The incident occurred around 1:30 am on 6th Street in the 13 de Abril neighborhood. The injured were taken by officials from the Ureña Fire Department to the health center in the city of Cúcuta, Colombia.


Eight people were injured in the early hours of this Sunday, May 7, after the launch of a fragmentary grenade into a pool in the Pedro María Ureña municipality in the state of Táchira.

The incident occurred around 1:30 am on 6th Street in the 13 de Abril neighborhood. The injured were identified as Diego Carvajal, 33; Nelson Melo, 41 years old; José Rincón, José Quintero, 32 years old; Yilbert Maldonado, 31 years old; Carlos Casique, Alexander Granados and Ederne Muñoz.

Various citizen security agencies arrived at the scene, including the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), to investigate what happened.
