Eight foreigners who tried to clandestinely enter a cargo ship in Paraná were detained in the Port of Paranaguá by the Federal and Civil Police of Paraná.Eight foreigners are detained on a ship in the Port of Paranaguá

According to the PF, the foreigners would have entered without authorization on the vessel that was scheduled to stop at the Port of Abidjã, in Ivory Coast, the African country where the men claimed to be from.

“After the usual procedures, the foreigners will remain under the responsibility of the maritime agency representing the ship’s owner, awaiting the formalities of the repatriation process or any asylum request,” the PF said in a note.
