Six fire sources remained active in the province of Missions and another eight in currentswhere the national government deployed brigades, heavy machinery, helicopters and hydrant planes in coordination with local governments to respond to the emergency caused by the advance of the flames, according to the daily report of the National Fire Management System (SNMF) that It depends on the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
According to the SNMF, there were also two active forest fires in the provinces of Formosa and Black riverwhile those that affected Chubut and Neuquén territory were controlled and contained, respectively.
In the case of Corrientes, the flames advance without control in the departments of Concepción, San Miguel, Curuzú Cuatiá, Ituzaingó, Santo Tomé, Loreto, Virasoro and San Martín, while the fires that affected Caa Catí and Mercedes were contained. Meanwhile, the fire unleashed in Bella Vista was completely extinguished.
In Misiones, the active fires were located in the departments of Concepción de la Sierra, Candelaria, Apóstoles, Santa Ana, San Javier and Montecarlo, while those that developed in Guaraní and San Ignacio were contained.
The provinces of Formosa and Río Negro had not yet been able to stop the advance of the fire in the departments of Pilcomayo and the Lago Martín Complex, respectively.

The Army and the Air Force, for their part, provided a plane, a helicopter, radio and satellite equipment, trailers, tanks to transport water and pools to store it, the official report said.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development supervises the tasks carried out in the emergency operations command, located in the town of San Miguel, where there are 150 brigade members and 15 vehicles: fire trucks, support mobiles and a SNMF operational truck, in addition to helicopters, equipment and heavy machinery.
The Ministry of Security of the Nation, for its part, ordered the deployment of brigade members of the Argentine Federal Police, equipment and a helicopter for the transfer of personnel.
In turn, members of the National Gendarmerie work in the area to order traffic on national routes that are affected by the fires.
To combat the fires, 11 air resources were arranged, including four hydrant planes, an observer plane and three helicopters.
In the case of Misiones, the SNMF deployed 2 own hydrant planes and 1 helicopter from the Ministry of Defense, together with 39 brigade members and support personnel summoned by the SNMF. In addition, it is planned that a new helicopter belonging to the SNMF will be added to fight fires in the region.
The area affected by forest fires reported between January 1 and 22, 2022 was 162,425.3 hectares, according to the report released this Sunday.
