The Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEhid) and the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) agreed to establish a training proposal aimed at young people from the communities surrounding the hydroelectric complexes, as well as the staff of the first institution, with a technological and innovative, which allows them to obtain the knowledge and tools necessary to respond to the country’s challenges.
The document was initialed by the general administrator of EGEHid, Rafael Salazar, and the rector of ITLA, Omar Méndez Lluberes.
The parties undertook to make their best efforts and apply common policies in order to carry out the EGEHid Technological Professionalization Project, as indicated in a press release.
A strategic alliance is established to define actions that will allow bringing technological innovation to the service of the hydroelectric sector and the surrounding communities to the areas of influence of the dams.
ITLA offers careers as a Technologist in Computer Security, in Computer Forensics, Analytics and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Telecommunications, Information Networks, Software Development, Multimedia, Mechatronics, Development of Interactive Simulations and Videogames, among others.
