Efraín leads some presidential polls

Audimedia, a company dedicated to advertising analysis in traditional media, conducted a survey where it analyzed the voting intention of citizens among the presidential candidates of the opposition parties.

The big winner turned out to be Efraín Alegre who won in the three polls in which he participated. The first of them was a survey in which only Liberal members were consulted.

The winner turned out to be Efraín Alegre with 39%, in second place was Hugo Fleitas with 20% and in third place Martín Burt with 8%. The candidates for the third space continued the list with Paraguayo Cubas with 6%, Kattya González with 5%, Soledad Núñez and Esperanza Martínez with 3% and Sebastián Villarejo with 2%. The remaining 6% stated that they would not vote for any of the candidates (see graph 1).

In the second survey, the citizens who make up the national register were taken into account. The results were the following; Happy Efrain; 30%, Hugo Fleitas; 16%, Esperanza Martinez; 10%, Martin Burt; 8%, Soledad Núñez and Kattya González with 7%, Sebastián Villarejo; 6% and Paraguayan Cubas with 5%. The remaining 11% said they still do not know who to vote for (see graph 2).

The third poll did the study only around Liberal candidates using; Efraín Alegre was left with 49%, Hugo Fleitas with 21% and Martín Burt with 13%. While the remaining 6% maintained that they still do not know which candidate to choose.

The people surveyed, when asked if they were going to participate in the voting or not, answered in 81% that they would participate, while the remaining 19% stated that they would not exercise their right to vote.

DATA SHEET

The data collection date was between July 12 and 20, 2022. The universe used was the Permanent Civic Registry (open register and party registers). The unit of analysis was those registered in the electoral rolls aged 18 and over at the national level. The sample size is 1,500 valid cases. The sample coverage occurred in Asunción and in the departments of Cordillera, Guairá, Caaguazú, Itapúa, Misiones, Paraguarí, Alto Paraná, Central, Amambay, Ñeembucú, Canindeyú and Presidente Hayes. The confidence level is 95% and the margin of error is 3%.
