The State Railway Company (EFE) reported this Monday morning the suspension of the train service between Rancagua and Central Station. According to the entity, the interruption was caused by the fall of a high voltage tower in the Paine sector.
“We inform our passengers that due to the fall of cables on the railway electrical network, our service is totally suspended,” EFE said on its Twitter account. “The service is suspended from both directions,” they added.

In addition, the company issued an incident certificate.
“It is noted that given the nature of the service we are affected to experience modifications due to force majeure such as the one that occurred, likewise, we are working to provide a better service and avoid this type of incident as much as possible,” they indicated in the document.
“This certificate is issued at the request of the client, for the purposes it deems appropriate,” they added.
