Teachers’ leaders are concerned about the state of the infrastructures and the maintenance of the schools and the high failure rate in the educational system.

The National Union of Educators of Panama (Unep) rejected compulsory vaccination and has demanded that the Ministry of Education (Meduca) accelerate the repair of infrastructures, appointments in educational centers before next March 7, when face-to-face classes begin. , the issue of teacher advocacy and the zoning of hard-to-reach areas, among other issues.

The coordinator of Unep, Edy Pinto, referred this Friday to the meeting held by teacher leaders with the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos on Thursday afternoon, indicating that in addition to the pending issues described above, they are concerned about the state of infrastructure and maintenance of schools.
