The general secretary of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Edwin Salamín, referred to Executive Decree No. 17, which reduces the price of 170 medicines established for consumers by 30% and which will take effect on August 15, 2022 for a period of six months extendable.
He clarified that people will be able to acquire both original and generic medicines, depending on the availability in the market.

This rule adopted by the Government takes as a basis for the discount, the price established as of June 30, 2022 and seeks to guarantee medicines at cheaper prices for all Panamanians.
