Additionally, educators, parents and students demand that the Meduca authorities proceed to repair the school infrastructure, with areas in terrible condition.
The teachers, students and parents of the IPT Mexico-Panama protested this Thursday morning by closing the Pan-American Highway, at the entrance to Tanara, Chepo.
The educational community demands the titling of the land where this campus is located, a struggle that they have maintained for more than 20 years.
The student population and teachers have asked the Ministry of Education (Meduca) to mediate with the National Land Authority (Anati) so that they proceed to legalize the school’s land.
They fear that these lands will be expropriated by the Ministry of Housing for the development of a housing project.
Additionally, educators, parents and students demand that the Meduca authorities proceed to repair the school infrastructure, with areas in terrible condition.
The protesters demand immediate responses from the authorities involved in this issue. Through the banners they state: “Miviot take your hands off the IPT Mexico Panama land”, “Anati we want titling”, “Mr. Mayor, do not try to take away our lands”.
