The Ministry of Education reported that this Monday the interviews to regularize the status of teachers who work as interim technicians in the 18 Regional Offices and 122 Minerd Districts in the country.
The Vice Minister of Teacher Accreditation and Certification, Francisco D’Oleo, said that the first phase of the regularization process ended successfully this Sunday, with the registration of 4,087 teachers who have uploaded all the required documentation to the platform.
He added that the platform registers 4,216 teachers. Of them, 129 have not been able to upload all the documentation and the remaining 184 have not started the process.
In accordance with article 11 of Departmental Order 46-2022, which regulates the registration process, applicants have a period of seven calendar days, which ends on Sunday the 11th, to register the documents specified in articles 8 and 9 of it.
However, Vice Minister Francisco D’Oleo said that until Saturday the 17th the platform will continue to be available and personalized and online attention will be provided to teachers who have any difficulty registering and enrolling, since it is Minerd’s goal to regularize one hundred percent of teachers serving as regional and district technicians on an interim basis.
The regularization of the labor status of teachers was ordered by the Minister of EducationÁngel Hernández, through circular 0875, which also prohibits the designation, in any category, provisionally, of teaching staff in the Ministry.
Through this circular, Hernández also created the Evaluation Commission, which is made up of the Vice Ministry of Teaching Accreditation and Certification, which chairs it, as well as a representative of the Vice Ministry of Technical and Pedagogical Services, the Directorate of Orientation and Psychology, from the Human Resources Management Department and from the Information and Communication Technology Department.
The regularization process, ordered by the Minister of Education, Ángel Hernández, is aimed at benefiting 4,400 teachers who serve as regional and/or district technicians, of which 4,087, for 92.8 percent, begin the phase this Monday Of interviews.
