Santo Domingo. – This Tuesday, January 7, classes will resume throughout the country, confirmed the Ministry of Education (Minerd), after calling on more than 2.6 million students from all levels, cycles and modalities of the educational system to join the classrooms.
The Minerd call comes after the end of the year holidays concluded and includes teachers, administrative staff and other actors from public and private educational centers that participate in the teaching process.

The institution urged parents and guardians to ensure the attendance and punctuality of their children so that students can get the most out of the current school period, established in the school calendar approved by the National Council of Education (CNE). ) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Likewise, Minerd guaranteed the school feeding services offered by the National Student Welfare Institute (Inabie) and transportation, provided by the National Student Transportation System (TRAE) to students in the country’s public schools.
Since last week, the country’s regional and educational districts have been carrying out different activities with a view to promoting an orderly and enthusiastic return to the classrooms in order to ensure the development of a successful academic year.
