The Minister of Education, Edgar Pary Chambi, stated that it is being analyzed to start with the winter schedule for the departments of La Paz, Oruro and Potosí, due to the drop in temperatures that has been recorded in recent days.
“We are going to take forecasts regarding the winter time, particularly in the departments of the high plateau region, La Paz, Oruro and Potosí, which are characterized by low temperatures,” reported the ministerial authority.
The final determination will be made after analyzing the reports of the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi) and the recommendations made by the Ministry of Health, he specified.

In the case of the departments of eastern Bolivia, he mentioned that they still do not require this differentiated schedule for entering classes, since according to Senamhi reports, the surazo reported for those regions will last only until tomorrow, Friday.
While the final decision is being made, the authority recommended that parents dress their children in warm clothes and continue going to free vaccination points to avoid contagion in schools.
Once the winter schedule for the educational units is confirmed, the morning shift students will enter half an hour after their usual time, and in the case of the afternoon shift, they will leave half an hour before.
